Move over, Miley. There’s a new pop sensation ruling the charts.

Singer Lorde's debut hit single "Royals" has nabbed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

"It feels like a combination of my birthday, Christmas and washing my hair after a month of doing so," she told the music publication after learning her single reached No. 1. "[I'm] very, very grateful for everyone's love and kind words."

At 16, Lorde is the youngest singer to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts since Tiffany with 1987's "I Think We're Alone Now."

The New Zealand native, whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor, wrote her bass heavy finger-snapping track while on holiday vacation from school. The single was released in June and has since sold nearly 1.9 million copies. She released her debut album, Pure Heroine, on Monday.
