Her dad's a country superstar and her mom's sung in movie musicals like Moulin Rouge
, so it's no surprise that Keith Urban
and Nicole Kidman
's oldest daughter, Sunday Rose
, 5, is a fan of good music.
"Sometimes I'll just hear Sunny singing 'Kiss a Girl,'" Urban, 45, says of his 2009 hit. "It's just infectiously catchy pop and I have a side of me that loves that stuff."
But the American Idol
judge says Sunny's favorites aren't limited to his back catalogue. "She sings 'I Love It' by Icona Pop all the time. She [and 2½-year-old sister Faith] sit in back of the car and sing, 'I don't care, I love it, I love it.' We've had to figure out the clean version of the song."
Sometimes, however, the girls clean up the songs on their own. "They'll just mishear the lyrics," says the doting dad, who just released his eighth album, Fuse
. "Sunny used to sing [Foster the People's] 'Pumped Up Kicks' and she thought the lyric 'faster than my bullet' was 'faster than my brother' and so that's what she sang. It's adorable."
