Playing on his girlfriend's fear of the 2002 horror hit The Ring, James Williams rigged their living room TV with a dummy version of the film's villain, Samara, which descended on his sleeping lady love. She seemed to forgive her beau; we would've ended the relationship.

The Today show anchors had a bit of fun in March when they got Natalie Morales and local newscaster Darlene Rodriguez to gaze into a mirror that would allegedly take 10 years off of their appearance. Instead, the pair came face-to-face with a screaming woman, the brainchild of another Thinkmodo campaign for The Last Exorcism: Part II.
Did You Take the Elevator?
A Brazilian TV show tricked participants into riding a booby-trapped elevator on which the lights would go in-and-out so a young actress dressed as a ghostly child could sneak aboard through a trap door. Once inside, she'd scream at the passengers, then disappear as quickly as she arrived.

The best scare is the one that occurs when you least expect it, so props to the creative team at Pine-Sol for playing an unexpected prank on their customers. While testing out products, a group of men received a serious shock as the Pine-Sol Lady jumped out from behind kitchen cabinets and bathroom walls. If a scream falls in the Carolina pine forest, does it make a sound? You bet!
