What can't you do with your iPhone?

Scottish band Travis directed their latest music video for their new single "Mother" with the iPhone 5s while in New York City.

PEOPLE's Video Producer, Caryn Midler was on hand to see the band make movie magic.

"After an amazing set and two encore songs, [lead singer and guitarist Fran Healy] informed the audience that we were about to participate in something special. They were going to perform 'Mother' again all the way through and then the second half of the song (from the piano solo on) five more times, and they wanted the audience to 'lose your s–t every single take ... Just go for it,' " she explains.

"There was a guy with an iPhone attached to a stedi-cam apparatus on stage filming. Each time, the audience went wild and it was totally genuine. Everyone ate it up and had a great time."

Travis are singer/guitarist Healy, bassist Dougie Payne, guitarist Andy Dunlop and drummer Neil Primrose.
