Kim Kardashian opened up for the first time since giving birth to baby North in June, speaking to London's Sunday Times about losing weight and post-baby fashion.

Kardashian, 33, said the Atkins diet is helping her shed pounds.

"Fifteen years ago, I tried the Atkins diet with my dad and we both lost weight really quickly," she said. "And I'm still doing it. I still have my cheat days, but when you're breastfeeding you can't really starve yourself."

Kim admitted she has more weight to lose and that she hasn't had the time to work out as often as she'd like now that she's a mom.

"I haven't exercised a whole lot so far, just because I've been busy with the baby and I don't want to leave her. But growing up our parents always exercised, so it's always been important to us. We all love to work out."

Baby North is also influencing Kim's fashion sense.

"I want to dress a little lighter color-wise," she said. "I think North looks cute in light colors, and then I want to wear light colors. North doesn't typically wear pink, though. She wears mauve or blush, not, like, typical baby pink."

Kim's sister Khloé Kardashian, 29, who also took part in the interview, revealed that Kim is extremely choosy with North's wardrobe.

"Kim is very picky when it comes to North's clothes. I'm afraid to buy her anything."

But Kim admitted that boyfriend Kanye West has a say in what she wears herself.

"I'll put something on and he'll say, 'No, that doesn't look good,' and I'll trust him."
