Orlando Bloom opens up about his amicable separation from Miranda Kerr in an interview with Katie Couric set to air Friday.
"We love each other. We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives. There's no question that for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn," The Hobbit actor says.
Bloom and Kerr have already shown that they are going to continue to provide a loving home to their 2-year-old-son. They stepped out in New York City as a family on Saturday, just after announcing their split.
"Life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for," Bloom adds. "But we're adults, I'm 36 and now she's 30. We're professionals. We love and care about each other. Most of all, we love our son."
The pair have been separated for several months. They were married in July 2010.
