Pitbull will host the American Music Awards on Nov. 24, Dick Clark Productions, which produces the show, announced Tuesday. He will be the first host of the show since 2008.

"I am truly honored to be hosting the 2013 American Music Awards," Pitbull – real name Armando Christian Perez – said in a statement. "The night is only about one thing: fun! So ... get ready. Dále!"

The Miami native, 32, who has sold more than 5 million albums to date, will also take the stage to perform his new hit single, "Timber," with Ke$ha.

The statues will be handed out at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and are awarded based on fan voting. (Click here to cast your ballot.)
