The former Real Housewives of New York star, new talk show host and founder of Skinnygirl cocktails, is launching a new line of 5-calorie sparkling waters called Skinnygirl Sparklers.
"I haven't been this excited about a business decision since I started my company," Frankel told PEOPLE backstage at her new syndicated talk show Bethenny in New York.
Says the star, "I know we have to drink it, but I don't really love water. I like my drink to be a little more exciting." So after receiving fan requests for a non-alcoholic beverage line, Frankel, 43, and her team came up with the new flavored sparkling waters.
Even her daughter Bryn, 3, can get in on mom's new product. "When I was testing the formula, she might have asked for a sip," says Frankel, "She likes juice, but I encourage her to drink a lot of water. I'd let her drink these. She likes to do what I do."
Of course, her brand name has nothing to do with her daughter. "I don't worry about kids being skinny," says Frankel, "it's more about them having less sugar."
Ever the busy mom, Frankel says she hopes this new venture will be a go-to for her fellow playground parents. "Cocktails are great, but they're for the night. These are for on the go."
As for her new show, Frankel says the pressure is on. "It's been intense. People have been critical, hoping that we fail," says the host, who shoots two shows a day, "but we're finally hitting our stride. Haters are our motivators."
