Celebrities love to rap (see: Gwyneth Paltrow's unforgettable performance of "Straight Outta Compton," or Ellen DeGeneres and Rebel Wilson channeling Salt-N-Pepa). And several have paid tribute to "Lose Yourself," Eminem's infectious anthem about overcoming adversity and conquering self-doubt.

Here are a few unexpected versions of Slim Shady's 2002 hit that we've seen in recent years. Contrary to the lyrics, it turns out you do get more than one shot ... at least when it comes to covering Eminem: Both Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber have offered multiple renditions of the track.

Taylor Swift

Swift is a little bit country, and so is her 2011 cover, shown here. Sound familiar? Another YouTube clip, featuring audio footage of Swift rapping "Lose Yourself" back in 2006, resurfaced last week.

Justin Bieber

Bieber has unleashed "Lose Yourself" on the Detroit rapper's hometown before, though Eminem loyalists were quick to note that the 19-year-old flubbed the first line during his most recent version, in July 2013.

Kelly Clarkson

Clarkson even sports an Eminem-esque gray hoodie for this 2012 Detroit performance. "When you listen to him on the radio and sing along in your car, you're a lot more badass than you actually are," she tells fans, who cheer in agreement.

Jodie Foster

Commencement speeches are typically full of inspirational anecdotes and motivational advice ... but rarely are they sourced from rap lyrics. Foster defied convention when she surprised University of Pennsylvania grads by ending her 2006 address with the "Lose Yourself" chorus.

All hail the original: Watch Eminem's own "Lose Yourself" video below, then compare and contrast amongst yourselves.
