Stephen Moyer and Carrie Underwood The Sound of Music Live
The Sound of Music
sounds suspiciously like the sound of snark.
Thursday night, the new version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical – which was later turned into the iconic 1965 movie starring Julie Andrews – aired live on NBC, with Carrie Underwood
and True Blood
's Stephen Moyer filling the shoes of Maria and Captain Von Trapp.
But, according to Twitter, the new Sound of Music
wasn't really one of viewers' favorite things.
Everyone from Cameron Diaz
to DiGiorno's Pizza got in the act, live-Tweeting commentary on the sets, costumes
and, of course, how bad Nazis are (thanks for the insight, Cammie D!).
