Now, a decade later, Aniston tells Parade in an exclusive interview that she's moved past those worries of the past and is feeling more comfortable about her whole package.
"I'm a little bit of a late bloomer! But it doesn't matter to me because it just gets better," Aniston said of growing older. "They do say youth is wasted on the young, but I feel just as youthful now – if not more – than I did when I was 25. I'm more in my body; I'm more in my mind. Life is full. Life is wonderful."
Some of her newfound comfort zone comes from fiancé Justin Theroux, 42. "I feel most beautiful when I'm just at home with [him] in the morning. Or "any time of day with him," she says.
While the couple hasn't revealed a wedding date or their future plans, Aniston says she hopes her fans know that her current state is bliss as the We're the Millers star makes plans to expand her career. She may even direct a full-length feature film sometime next year. "My life is so fantastic," she said. "I'm so happy."
And still a lover of long hair, Aniston notes. While her own coif and its myriad styles have been dissected and hotly discussed over the years, her current above-the-shoulder bob was simply an act of living in the moment, she says. Long remains her "go-to fave" look.
"We were at a photo shoot the other day and I said, 'Let's just chop it off,' " she said of her new, shorter do. "I love doing something different and changing it up."
But does one of the most-watched heads in Hollywood ever have her own celebrity tress envy? "I think Gisele [Bündchen] has exquisite hair," Aniston says. "That's a pretty envious head of hair. And I love Kate Moss. She always has great hair."
