Jason Derulo went all out for his cover of Lorde's hit "Royals" for BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge."

Of course, the chart-topping song was written by a teenage girl from New Zealand, so a few lyrical substitutions were necessary, but Derulo made even lines like "Call me your king bee" work for him.

"Live Lounge" is earning a reputation for spurring great bands to great covers, including Miley Cyrus's sultry version of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness," Jared Leto's cover of Rihanna's "Stay" and HAIM's rocking rendition of Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball".

While Derulo's cover was good, it wasn't as great as that time he helped a couple get engaged on Good Morning America.
