Paul McCartney attended a Brooklyn Nets game against the Philadelphia 76ers with wife Nancy Shevell Monday night, and while he was there, the British knight came surprisingly close to catching a T-shirt fired into the stands by the BrooklyKnight. Amusingly for a man with 17 Grammys and hundreds of millions of dollars, Sir Paul looked adorably downcast about missing out on a souvenir valued at $28.
Still, he couldn't help politely clapping for the fan who did end up with the shirt. Free stuff and applause from a Beatle? That's a night to write home about.
In case you were wondering, the Nets beat the Sixers 130-94.
