College pep band covers are a tradition unto themselves. While most bands are content with the classics, like "The Horse" or Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4", some pride themselves on more contemporary choices. The Virginia Commonwealth University Peppas band fits into the latter category.

They went with "Wrecking Ball."

While Miley Cyrus's tune has been done by just about everyone under the sun, and the starlet's own performances of the song have been pretty out there at times, "Wrecking Ball" was one of the most-watched videos of last year for a reason: It's insanely catchy.

So take a catchy song, arrange it for an enormous marching band, and well, the rest is history.

Well done, VCU pep band. Now throw in some One Direction.
