It was an unforgettable image – Michael Jackson
standing on top of an SUV and acknowledging fans amid his 2004 child-abuse trial.
Now Justin Bieber
, who pulled a similar pose
when he left a Miami jail following his DUI arrest
on Thursday, is pointing out the resemblance on Instagram.
The 19-year-old posted
a side-by-side photo collage of the two images along with the caption "What more can they say" followed by a crown.
Later he Tweeted
this all-capital-letter message: "YOU ARE ALL WORTHY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS. BE STRONG GOD IS WITH US ALL. MY BELIEBERS CHANGED MY LIFE. I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL."
Bieber was pulled over for drag racing in the early hours of Thursday morning and was arrested and charged
with DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid driver's license.
After admitting that he had been drinking, smoked marijuana and taken prescription drugs, the Canadian star appeared before a judge and was released on a $2,500 bail.
It's the latest
in a pattern of bad behavior by the teen sensation. The singer's father, Jeremy, 38, who was reportedly with his son when he was arrested, Tweeted
the following message on Friday: "I can protect my kids, but I can't protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife."
Bieber's longtime manager Scooter Braun also shared his thoughts, Tweeting
on Thursday night: "Been a long day. Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad."
