Chelsea Arthurs and Jennifer Messer admit they felt so strong after completing the first ever Biggest Loser triathlon
"Never in a million years would I ever have thought that I would even sign up for one, compete in one or complete a triathlon, and it was amazing to cross that finish line," explained Jennifer, 42.
"I didn't place first, but I finished it and it felt amazing and I was so proud of myself," added Chelsea, 28, who has since registered for her first half-marathon in Raleigh, N.C.
Both women were eliminated from the show on Tuesday, and now that they're home they admit that things have definitely changed, but for the better.
"It's been awesome and I actually came home, and my boyfriend – while I was gone, he lost 30 lbs. and he's been keeping that up and working really hard and going through this process with me since I've been home. I've also got my mom and my stepdad working out and going to the gym. It's great to see how much I've motivated [my mom] and family and friends," explained Chelsea.
Jennifer says she has a whole new family.
"I have just kind of taught my family what I had learned, and we are doing fantastic. My daughter [Kayla] has lost almost 30 lbs. and my husband has lost almost 50 and we are in this together. So, I mean, it is the best feeling in the world. I am so blessed."
Although the ladies are back to their everyday schedules, Chelsea and Jennifer both agree that their plans for the future won't start until after the season finale.
"In my opinion, that is when real life begins. I think it matters the most because it is the rest of your life and you have to take what we have learned in this journey that has been fantastic and incorporate that every day in your life," Jennifer explains. "I don't know what the future holds for me, but I feel that I have been so blessed with this journey that I have to pay it forward."
Chelsea agrees. "Real life begins after the finale and I'm so excited for it. I'm looking forward now to things I can do with everything I've accomplished," she says. "I'm looking forward to all these races I'm going to do. I love to get creative in the kitchen with these new and healthy recipes, so I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of that."
