Since his October split from wife
Kris Kardashian, a lot has changed for Bruce Jenner, including a much-scrutinized new look.
But the changes haven't just been physical.
Lately, the Olympic icon-turned-reality TV star, 64, has been reconnecting with his children from his first two marriages.
"He's really embraced his old family and friends that he hasn't seen for years," his daughter Cassandra Marino, 33, tells PEOPLE. "It's great."
As for his outward transformation, which includes longer hair and a controversial "tracheal shave" to reduce the size of his Adam's apple, Marino says she has not discussed the changes with him but is supportive.
"It's his life, and whatever he wants to do, he wants to do," she says.
While friends tell PEOPLE that Jenner's makeover is a result of a desire to achieve a youthful appearance
, Marino says, "He's always been a handsome guy, and he never needed to do anything. But you know, clearly he feels differently. And nobody knows how it is to be in his skin."
"If that's what he chooses to do, then I support him."
