After bidding a bittersweet goodbye to Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe, Parks and Recreation returns Thursday with plenty of Pawnee action. Though Ann and Chris are gone, there's now room for other characters to take the spotlight – and we're hoping Retta's Donna Meagle gets more time to shine.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Retta revealed she's pushing for love. Donna has enjoyed a wild dating life, but Retta thinks it's time for a real relationship.

"I want there to be a romantic interest in her future, and I keep bringing it up to our executive producer," Retta says. "I've kind of put it in his brain, and I believe that he shall hook a sister up, as they say."

They're strictly platonic, but Donna and Aziz Ansari's Tom Haverford have long been the show's most dynamic – and luxury loving – duo. But hold on to your fine leather goods: Retta says "Treat Yoself Day", when Donna and Tom spend frivolously on whatever their hearts desire, is purely fictional.

"Aziz is the busiest man in Hollywood. I don't have time to go get massages with Aziz and he doesn't have time to get mimosas with me," she explains, laughing. "So no, we don't have Donna and Tom's relationship. I don't think there's anyone who has Donna and Tom's relationship."

One thing Retta does has time for? Live-Tweeting every jaw-dropping plot twist on Scandal. The Kerry Washington-led drama is known to embrace social media, and avid Tweeter Retta lends her hilarious voice to the frenzy. But listen up, Shonda Rhimes: Retta dreams of being more than a fan one day.

"I would love, love to be on Scandal as like a rival fixer," she tells PEOPLE. "I'm sure that Olivia Pope would give me a smack-down."

If a guest spot isn't possible, we're pulling for a crossover. After all, Leslie Knope's up-and-down political career could always use a little Pope & Associates crisis management.

Catch Retta in the newest Parks and Rec airing Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
