Things are continuing to look up for Amanda Bynes
Less than a week after her attorney told PEOPLE
that she is "doing great" since completing inpatient treatment
in December, Bynes pleaded no contest in her DUI case on Monday, a rep for the L.A. District Attorney's office tells PEOPLE.
The plea, made through her lawyer, was to a lesser alcohol-related offense that does not have the same consequences as a DUI, sparing her jail time.
The former Nickelodeon star, 27, will be placed on three years probation, pay various fines and must attend a three-month alcohol education course. The DUI dates back
to April 2012.
