The woman who gave birth on a New York City crosswalk last week has tracked down the good Samaritan she named her daughter after.

Polly McCourt, her husband Cian and their baby Ila Isabelle were reunited Thursday with Isabel Williams, who gave her Michael Kors jacket to the expectant mother as she went into labor while trying to get to a hospital three days earlier.

Williams, 20, was headed to Starbucks for a work coffee run when she saw Polly lying on the street surrounded by a crowd, the New York Daily News reports. She called 911 and offered her jacket, flannel shirt and sweater to swaddle the newborn.

"I remember you coming down to my level, and not many people did that," McCourt, 39, told Williams. "Your instinct was to cover me up, and that's the right thing to do."

Cian took down her phone number but lost it while heading to the hospital. Yet the grateful parents remembered her name, honoring their hero by giving their daughter the middle moniker Isabelle.

"In the commotion I thought, 'Oh, Isabel's a nice name,'" Cian told the Daily News.

The McCourts set off to find the kind stranger, discovering she lived nearby. Now, Williams is considered "part of the family" – and is invited to little Ila's upcoming christening.

"She's absolutely perfect," Williams told the paper. "I'm really honored."
