The folks behind the YouTube series "Kids React" presented rotary telephones to a panel of children, and the results may make you feel old.
"I wasn't born in the '40s, so I have no idea what you're talking about," Lucas, 5, bluntly explains in the clip.
Ouch. Most of the youngsters identified the piece of "historic" technology as an old phone, but were at a loss as to what a dial tone is, what the word rotary means, or even how the contraption works.
After a quick demo, the kids were asked to make a call the labor-intensive way. Watching these whippersnappers try to work the numbers should make any older viewers feel better about their modern technology woes.
The overall kid consensus: Smartphones rule, and rotary phones drool.
