Maui police are waiting on the results of forensic tests conducted on several pieces of new evidence in the case of a missing pregnant woman.
Carly "Charli" Scott, who is five months pregnant, went missing on the Hawaiian island on Feb. 9, and her clothes and blanket were found days after her disappearance. Police searched the area again on Tuesday, finding her bra (which had been slashed), duct tape, a human tooth and a bone, Hawaii News Now
The 27-year-old's ex-boyfriend Steven Capobianco, who is also the unborn baby's father, was the last person to see her alive. Police are calling him a person of interest
, but he is not a suspect.
Capobianco told Hawaii News Now that he had called Scott for help when his car broke down. After he got his car going, she was following behind him in her SUV, but he lost sight of her.
Her car was later found burned out and stripped, but police found parts of the car, including the grill, in a home in Haiku. The people in the home are not suspects in this case.
