A skincare specialist said to have an A-list Hollywood clientele was arrested and charged with plotting to hire a hit man to kill a competitor.

Facialist Dawn DaLuise is accused of solicitation of murder for allegedly trying to hire former NFL player Christopher Geile to kill Gabriel Suarez, according to a felony complaint filed Friday in L.A. Superior Court.

DaLuise's clients reportedly have included Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alicia Silverstone, Michelle Trachtenberg and Alyson Hannigan, and she's been widely quoted in lifestyle publications.

Suarez opened Smooth Cheeks next door to DaLuise's Skin Refinery on Santa Monica Boulevard about seven months ago, KABC-TV in Los Angeles reports.

While Suarez said DaLuise wasn't friendly, he didn't think he would be a threat to her business, and never suspected she would try to have him killed, he told the station.

"Hairdressers work next to each other all the time, so I didn't think it would be a big deal," he said.

DaLuise, 56, appeared in court Friday after detectives investigating a cyber stalking case got some information on social media about the alleged plot, CBS Los Angeles reports.

Geile, a former Detroit Lions player, refused to talk to CBS, but his son, Collin, 18, said he had no idea how his dad's name is involved in the murder-for-hire case.

"I don't believe anything that person says," he said, referring to DaLuise. "My dad would never do that."

DaLuise, who's accused of plotting the crime between the end of January and mid-February, is being held on $1 million bail and will be arraigned on March 19.
