The polarizing Bachelor star released a YouTube video on Tuesday honoring his relationship with winner Nikki Ferrell and titled "Adventures in Loving You."
Galavis picked – but did not propose to – Ferrell on the finale, and though the two were still a couple during the After the Final Rose special, the former soccer pro wouldn't say whether he loves her.
The 32-year-old has expressed his frustration with the ABC reality show, and he hinted at his controversial reputation in the video's description.
"Thanks for these INTERESTING 4 months of HIDING, now that the CHARACTER of 'The Bachelor' is OVER, it is time for US to live our life for REAL," he wrote to Ferrell, 26. "Te ADORO." (Watch the video below.)
The montage, set to an original song, shows many moments familiar to viewers: their first meeting, exotic dates and onscreen smooches. But it also includes behind-the-scenes selfies and screenshots of video chats during their separation between the finale's taping and airing.
Although host Chris Harrison may not be convinced, Galavis says he and Ferrell are ready for romance away from the spotlight – even if she isn't sporting a Neil Lane sparkler on her finger quite yet.
"I don't feel there's a need to propose to somebody if I don't feel 100 percent," he told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. "I didn't know Nikki. I want to know more, a lot more."
