The guys continue to document their experience exclusively for PEOPLE readers, as they chow down on tacos and party with other up-and-coming talent at the festival.
"For an artist, one of the best parts of SXSW is seeing a lot of friends that you don't get to see when you are out touring," Ocean says. "Yesterday we got to catch up with a lot of people at the launch party for Binary Records, hosted by Goldroom and Vitalic Noise. The party was an excellent addition to this year's schedule of day parties. Deejays included Le Youth, Touch Sensitive, The Knocks, RAC, and ourselves. We were excited to catch up with RAC before joining them on tour later this month."
To keep their nonstop momentum going, the guys made a little pit stop for food in between party hopping.
"An afternoon meal was in order to keep us running so we stopped at the famous Torchy's Tacos," Mendelsohn says. "Tacos are an absolute necessity at SXSW and Torchy's lived up to all expectations."
While at the Hype Hotel, the guys provided us with video of what, according to them, was the true highlight of the day. Baltimore-based band Future Islands "delivered one of the best standout live performances of the week so far," Ocean says.

As nighttime approached, Ocean and Mendelsohn kicked back with EDM heavyweight Tommie Sunshine.
"He asked us to do a quick deejay set at the Loose Control party at Club Vice for a night he curated with Treasure Fingers, Gorgon City and Henry Krinkle amongst others," Ocean says.
And what better way to cap off a night than with the biggest star at the festival of all?
"[The experience] wouldn't be complete without Elvis, and we ran into eight of them!" Mendelsohn says with a laugh. "The King lives on in Austin!"
