Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke visited Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Wednesday and revealed the unusual route her audition for the HBO series took.
"[Showrunner] David Benioff suggested I do a dance … and so I did," Clarke said. Fallon's immediate response: "Oh, no."
"And so I did the Funky Chicken," Clarke continued. "And I kind of morphed into the Robot."
Fortunately for Clarke, her performance as Daenerys Targaryen hinges more on her ability to wrangle dragons and less on funkiness.
Game of Thrones' highly anticipated fourth season starts up April 6, but don't count on any more dance moves from Clarke in the meantime.
