NeNe Leakes told Cynthia Bailey's husband, Peter Thomas, to stop acting like "a bitch" on Sunday's The Real Housewives of Atlanta", and the word and its delivery was nearly enough to break up a close friendship.

After Thomas and Gregg Leakes went loco in Mexico, and NeNe inserted herself into the ongoing masquerade ball battle – telling Thomas that he needed to stay out of the women's business – the longtime friends went after one another.

"The way he came at me I didn't really appreciate it," Thomas told his wife after everyone had returned from the trip. "He told me he was giving me a pass … was he actually gonna have a fistfight with me?"

"I do not feel bad for addressing her husband because he's always addressing everybody else," NeNe told her own husband. "I did feel like he was a bitch. I did."

"Bottom line is friends don't go around calling friends bitches," a calm yet upset Bailey said. "Right is right, and wrong is wrong … I'd rather not be friends with them if that is the case."

The couples met for dinner (read: vodka tonics) to address their fight, and it was more than awkward in the beginning.

"Why is it feeling like a first date?" Bailey, 46, asked.

"I just want to put a line real deep in the sand that we respect each other," Thomas asked at the dinner.

"I just called a spade a spade," NeNe replied. "I was really just trying to say you were acting like a bitch. So I can't apologize for that."

"The B word is very provoking," Bailey told her friend.

"If you were to call me a bitch, it would crush me," Gregg Leakes said, easing the tension. "I'd like to extend my hand to you and my deepest sympathy … we're friends."

"My relationship with Cynthia is the most important," NeNe, 45, admitted as the four made up.

Another B word also played a prominent role Sunday, as Kenya Moore hired a parenting coach to teach her how to handle a potential baby.

In this case, Moore, who is considering having a child, was given a baby doll to feed, burp, diaper and name.

"I don't want to name it Apollo because I don't want it to go to jail," Moore, 42, joked. "I don't want to name it Porsha because I want her to find the United States on a map, and I don't want to name it NeNe because I want her to be born with hair on her head."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
