"They just look so natural," Foxx, who plays the villain Electro in the new film, teased the real-life couple (since 2011) as they all appeared together on Friday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"I know," said DeGeneres as Garfield visibly fidgeted.
"I ain't trying to get into nothing, I'm just saying," Foxx said before Garfield politely but firmly told him, "Drop it, just drop it."
"It's just, you know, what I say, great acting," said the sly Foxx.
DeGeneres could not have agreed more. "It's like they're together or something," she said.
And DeGeneres being her usual self, she asked if, in a budgetary move, any of the cast members – who just returned from promoting their movie in Asia – had to share hotel rooms.
"I mean," Foxx then interjected, "do you guys stay in separate rooms? I've been wanting to know this for a while."
At that point, Garfield turned the conversation around, and declared it was he and Foxx who were all coupled up.
"You know the answer to that," Garfield told a surprised Foxx, "because we've been sharing the same bedroom."
Chimed in DeGeneres: "Oh, it's you two. You're the couple that everyone talks about."
