Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas
Candace Cameron Bure kicked off her career at age 10, starring in the popular series
Full House. Since the series wrapped in '95, the actress got married, had three kids and wrote two books. She's been paired with two-time mirror ball winning champ for season 18 of Dancing with the Stars and she'll be sharing her experience with PEOPLE readers
looking forward to tonight's show for many reasons.
Last week was the switch-up
, where Tony [Dovolani] and I danced the quickstep. I have so many thoughts regarding the week in its entirety, but most importantly, I loved getting to know Tony. We had a blast together. The punk rock costume, hair and makeup was one of my favorites and overall I just felt great about our dance.
I will say that I was very disappointed in our scores. I felt like the dance went really well and I hit everything Tony was teaching me. I do understand that one of the connection points in my frame wasn't tight enough, but it wasn't something we focused on, so I was a bit confused. Now standing at the bottom of the leader board, I really hope my fans have pushed me through to another week. I really don't want to go home tonight!
I was happy to be reunited with my original partner Mark Ballas
. The break was cool and the saying is true… absence does
make the heart grown fonder. Our time apart made me come back with a reignited zeal and hunger for the competition. I mean, who wants to be in last place? I'm just going to let go (not that I didn't before) – But I feel like I'm coming back with a new-found freedom in feeling more comfortable dancing, and I'm just going to go for it.
When I watch the videos of my performances, I can tell that it looks like I'm nervous or holding back a bit, even though I don't feel like that in the moment. So, I'm going to relax, go big and try not to allow any feeling of self-consciousness arise (which happens on live national TV, LOL).
And it's Disney week! It can't get any better than that! Mark and I got our first choice song to my favorite Disney movie and I'll be playing my favorite Disney princess! It's like a childhood dream come true. I only wish we had more quality practice time together. I've been battling flu symptoms all week but managed to push through rehearsals wearing a face mask to protect Mark from getting sick, too. I'm still under the weather and praying I feel better for the show tonight.
If you're following me on Facebook/CandaceCameron or Twitter @CandaceCBure, I bet you can figure what movie we'll be dancing to! Let me know in the comments below!
I really hope you enjoy our fun Disney dance!
