Party of Five alum Jennifer Love Hewitt is always on the go: She acts, she sings, she's a woman-about-town. So how does Hewitt, 24, keep herself looking so perfectly fresh? With pink lip gloss. Only she doesn't actually put it on her lips – she rubs it into her cheeks as an enduring blush that also keeps her face dewy-looking, she told InStyle in June 2002. And "even though gloss is a bit sticky, it lasts a long time so you don't have to re-apply during the day," she explained.

• Who says supermodels always have to count calories? German-born Claudia Schiffer, 32, uses cherry Jell-O as a delicious lip tint. "It's an amazing stain," makeup artist Joanna Schlip told InStyle recently. Want the same tasty lips? Dip a damp cotton swab into the flavored powder and drag it across your moist lips. Leave it on for five minutes, then lick it off. Top with some gloss, and you're done. Delicious!

Mariska Hargitay, star of NBC's hit cop drama Law & Order: SVU, is a real water baby: She learned to swim when she was 6 months old, and it's still her workout of choice. Water is also a major part of her daily beauty routine. Every morning, "even if it's at 5 a.m," she takes a hot bath – it gets her blood going, and acts as a natural blush. "I come to work with these rosy cheeks," the actress, 39, told PEOPLE in May 2002.

• How does diva Mariah Carey keep her lips so perfectly pouty? The 34-year-old chart topper mixes a drop of mint extract (available in grocery stores) into her lip gloss before applying it, InStyle noted in spring 2002. Why? Mint stimulates blood flow and intensifies lip color, according to makeup artist Jerrod Blandino, who created the Too Faced line of beauty products. But beware: If you're sensitive to mint, your pucker may become irritated.
