Kevin Sorbo Wants to Improve Your Home
Most people still know him as Hercules, but the star of the syndicated sci-fi series "Andromeda" is about to launch his own furniture line.

No longer hurling boulders or swatting barbarians, former "Hercules" star Kevin Sorbo has a new mission in life: pushing an upcoming home furniture line. The Associated Press reports out of High Point, N.C., which is considered America's furniture capital, that the muscular actor, 42, who played the superhero on TV for five years and now stars as the spaceship captain in the syndicated sci-fi series "Andromeda," will launch his wares in October. Also on tap to unveil their products at this fall's International Home Furnishings Market, the news service reports, are former "Charlie's Angels" star Jaclyn Smith and embattled lifestyle diva Martha Stewart. Sorbo, a 6'3" former model, and his wife, Sam Jenkins Sorbo, 37, have collaborated with the California-based Boyd Furniture to design three collections, the first of which will be unveiled at this year's market, the firm's sales and marketing executive Bill Carpenter told AP. Although the Sorbos live outside Las Vegas (last September they welcomed their first child, son Braeden Cooper), PEOPLE reports that the family spends much of its time at a second home in Vancouver, where "Andromeda" is filmed.
