Residents of a deadly high-rise building fire that broke out in the Manhattan apartment of Macaulay Culkin's family have sued their landlord for $20 million. The plaintiffs contend in a lawsuit filed Tuesday that the Dec. 23 fire damaged their apartments. They seek safety improvements including maintenance of proper fire alarm and sprinkler systems. No one in the Culkin family was named as a defendant. Four people died of smoke inhalation from the fire, and 22 others were injured. The fire was believed to have started in a wall-mounted heater in the Culkin family's 19th-floor apartment. Culkin, who starred in "Home Alone," recently moved out after getting married. The lawsuit names as defendants South Park Tower Associates, the building's owners, and New York Urban Property Management Corp.
