The rags-to-riches story of "Angela's Ashes" author Frank McCourt just got richer. The Pulitzer Prize-winning writer bought an eight-room house in Roxbury CT on 25 acres of land for $1.25 million. The property includes a pond, a small red barn and a silo. Roxbury, a town of 1,900, also counts Dustin Hoffman and Arthur Miller among its residents. McCourt's 1997 memoir "Angela's Ashes" tells of how he grew up poor in New York and Ireland. It has been on The New York Times' best-seller list for more than two years.
