George magazine publisher John F. Kennedy Jr. may take his troubled publication away from its current publisher, Hachette Filipacchi, and set up house under the deep-pocketed Conde Nast banner, the publishing community is speculating. The news comes after Kennedy told the trade journal Advertising Age, "One way or another, George has to be able to compete. And to do that, I need resources for advertising, for marketing, for production. But believe me, George will be competitive one way or another."
