SEPTUPLET DAD HITS CIRCUIT

04/01/1999 at 12:00 AM EST

Kenny McCaughey, father of the world's first living set of septuplets, is finally getting out of the house. He's hitting the lecture circuit. McCaughey quit his job as a billing clerk at an Iowa Chevrolet dealership three weeks ago and plans to counsel women to keep their babies, McCaughey's Nashville-based agent Wes Yoder said. Bobbi and Kenny McCaughey decided to carry the seven babies to term after fertility doctors warned them of the risks and gave them the option of aborting some fetuses in order to increase the survival chances of the others. Yoder did not disclose McCaughey's speaking fee but said he'll do about 15 lectures a year.
