Mystery surrounded Rod Stewart's cancellation of his only Toledo OH concert last week because of an unknown scheduling conflict. Now the mystery may have been solved. Stewart was seen at an Academy Awards party in Los Angeles on Sunday, the night he was to have performed at the University of Toledo's Savage Hall (for which about 6,000 of the 6,500 tickets available had been sold). "I don't know anything about the situation," said Paul Freundlich, one of the singer's publicists. Reba Sarver, who had won two tickets to the concert (which was not rescheduled), said she could understand the no-show -- but only if Stewart been nominated for an Oscar. "It's a bummer," she told the Associated Press. "I guess that's what you do if you're a star."
