Brooke Shields and tennis star Andre Agassi have thrown in the towel, announcing over the weekend that they are divorcing after almost two years of marriage. No reason was given. Shields's publicist issued a statement from her Beverly Hills office on behalf of the couple saying, "We have the utmost love and respect for each other and will remain the best of friends." Only hours after the announcement was made, Agassi played in the Hong Kong Open, where he beat Germany's Hendrik Dreekman 6-3, 6-0 in the semi-finals.
