Charlton Heston, whose National Rifle Assn. (of which he is president) is in many people's cross hairs following the Columbine massacre, failed to show up at a Hollywood awards ceremony on Sunday, reports Reuters. "He felt there was too much heat," said David Robman, president of the Society of Operating Cameramen (SOC). Robman said he got a call from Heston's assistant two days after the Littleton shoot-out.
