Oliver Reed's Last Wish

Oliver Reed, who died from a heart attack in a pub in Malta, had another idea of how he wanted to go, reports Britain's Press Association. The actor had lived in Ireland for the last six years. Father Pat Twohig, parish priest of Churchtown, near Mallow, County Cork, said: "His ambition was to die here in his favorite pub, O'Briens. It so happened he was on the wrong side of the world when it happened." Reed, 61, moved to north Cork in 1993 (with his wife Josie) and bought Castle McCarthy, a 200,000 Georgian house surrounded by 17 acres of fields. The garden there was home to one of Reed's favorite pets, a rhinoceros named Horny, given to him by the late Keith Moon, drummer with The Who (and Reed's costar in the 1975 movie "Tommy").
