Reba McEntire and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are heading to the Balkans to entertain the troops. The country music singer is scheduled to perform June 6 at a free concert for the USO at Aviano Air Base in Italy, where a large percentage of Air Force planes involved in the Yugoslav air campaign are based. The cheerleaders are scheduled to put on several shows July 1-10 at U.S. installations throughout the Balkans, the USO said.

  • Other performers taking part in "Operation Allied Entertainment" include rocker Joan Jett and country-bluegrass star Larry Gatlin. Gatlin will also perform for troops based in the Persian Gulf.
