New Home for Hamilton

Figure skater Scott Hamilton has bought a $1.5 million home in Thousand Oaks, near Los Angeles, reports the L.A. Times. The residence is just a few minutes by golf cart from the Sherwood Country Club, where Hamilton plays regularly. This week the Olympic gold medalist hosted the second annual Scott Hamilton Circle of Friends Invitational golf tournament there, raising $150,000 for Target House (a new facility at St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis which provides housing for families of kids being treated for cancer). Hamilton recently announced he has made a full recovery from testicular cancer, diagnosed in 1997.
