Farrah Explains Herself

Farrah Fawcett has gone public with the reason behind her memorable June 1997 guest shot on the "Late Show with David Letterman," in which she barely appeared coherent. "My mom said, 'Just go and have a good time,'" Fawcett said Monday at the Television Critics Association (where she was promoting her upcoming CBS-TV movie "Silk Hope"). Fawcett, 52, became the butt of jokes when she squirmed in her seat and seemed to lose her train of thought during Letterman's show. Perhaps she was guilty of "being a bad talk show guest," she said, adding that she was simply trying to be playful.
