Minneapolis radio station WRQC-FM dropped shock jock Howard Stern's New York-based syndicated radio show Tuesday because of low ratings. "Howard never got the numbers we hoped for, wanted and needed," said Marc Kalman, general manager of the station. While Stern remains one of the most popular morning radio figures in the country, some observers said his humor doesn't play well in the Midwest. "I think Stern's brand of being outrageous just to be outrageous didn't fly," Tom Moon, director of operations for Duncan's American Radio, a radio research company in Cincinnati, told the Associated Press.
