Jim Nabors is ready to hit the stage again after being hospitalized earlier this summer for a minor stroke, said an assistant to the 69-year-old. Nabors, who played TV's Gomer Pyle, had a scare in late June when he briefly lost movement in one arm and had trouble speaking, said Judy Murata. Nabors had suffered a transient ischemia attack, or temporary tissue anemia caused by a blood clot, Murata said. He underwent a few days of tests and treatment at a hospital in Honolulu and was discharged in good health, she said.
