It came as no surprise yesterday when former Senator Bill Bradley formally announced his candidacy for President, but how's this for a shocker: Cybill Shepherd wants to run, too. REALLY -- at least according to today's Washington Post, which reports that the 49-year-old actress is "seriously considering" a run for the White House as a Democratic or third-party candidate. "I asked her to think about it," Shepherd's pal, Los Angeles lawyer and radio personality Gloria Allred, told the paper. And why is that? "The No. 1 issue for her is choice. She wants to protect the right to have a legal and safe abortion," said Allred. No word on whether or not Christine Baranski would be Cybill's veep.
