Marcelo Rodriguez, the Beverly Hills cop who arrested George Michael in a public restroom, is suing the singer for $10 million, alleging he's been slandered. In a suit filed Monday in Los Angeles, Rodriguez claims that since the bust he's been mocked in one of Michael's music videos and says the singer has claimed in interviews that he was the victim of entrapment. "(Michael) has said (things) in numerous interviews in magazines, on television, on the Internet and all over. George Michael has profited greatly out of what has happened at my client's expense," Rodriguez's attorney, Richard F.G. Thomas, said. Rodriguez arrested Michael in April 1998 for allegedly committing a lewd act in a public park restroom. Michael later pleaded no contest to the charge and was sentenced to do community service.
