Anna Strasberg, who has executed the estate of Marilyn Monroe since 1982, plans to donate some of the proceeds from the recent Monroe memorabilia auction to the Hollyrove Orphanage in Los Angeles, where the troubled star spent part of her childhood, New York's Daily News reports. Monroe, whose real name was Norma Jean Mortenson, died in 1962 of an apparent drug overdose. The Christie's auction in New York raised some $13 million, and Strasberg, the widow of Monroe's acting coach Lee Strasberg, will make a significant contribution in Monroe's name to establish an arts program at the home, sources said. Strasberg has already donated some of the monies to Literacy Partners and the World Wildlife Fund.
