The Las Vegas line-up for New Year's Eve just gets hotter and hotter. Wayne Newton has now been added to the growing list of entertainers welcoming in the year 2000 on the Strip. The Waynester will be performing three shows at the Stardust Resort and Casino, with a New Year's Eve show priced at $275 and two shows scheduled Jan. 1 at $75 each. Other stars already scheduled to perform in the city include Barbra Streisand at the MGM Grand, Rod Stewart at the Rio and Bette Midler at Mandalay Bay. Caesars Palace will feature Elton John and Tina Turner performing for high-rolling VIP guests on New Year's Eve. Celine Dion will perform for VIP guests there on Jan. 1.
