Heidi Fleiss Goes Belly Up
Former "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss, who once ran a high-priced call-girl ring that catered to the rich and famous, has declared bankruptcy, court documents showed Wednesday. Fleiss was released from a federal prison last month after serving more than two years for conspiracy, tax evasion and money laundering. She is claiming more than $269,000 in debts in her petition in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles. These include $115,000 to her lawyers and $85,000 in back rent for her Heidi Wear boutique in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica, where she sold a line of underwear. She claims as assets $200 in clothing and $500 in jewelry.
