Emotions ran rampant Thursday at a service held in honor of reigning U.S. Open champion Payne Stewart on the first tee of the Tour Championship tournament in Houston. Stewart was among six people killed Monday when the Learjet carrying them crashed in South Dakota. His closest friend on the PGA Tour, Tom Lehman, struggled to fight back tears as a bagpiper played "Amazing Grace." "All of us were a part of Payne when he died on Monday," said Lehman. "I considered not playing, but I could hear Payne saying, 'Boys, you gotta play.' So we're playing in his memory. We will not forget Payne Stewart." Another memorial for Stewart is planned for Friday in Orlando.
